Looking Forward to a New Season
Dear friends!
Mundekulla has kicked off its 26th season with boundless energy. We have myriad plans in place to ensure that the magic of Mundekulla is not only preserved but also shared with a wider audience.
Our calendar is more packed than ever before. In addition to numerous retreats and weekends, we are excited to present three full-fledged festivals.
The Running Festival offers not only various running distances but also preparatory workshops with Frida Södermark, the Swedish champion in ultramarathon (100K), Roy Hinnen, the Swiss champion in triathlon, breathing sessions with Björn Karlsson, a certified Wim Hof Method coach, yoga for runners, specially tailored meals, and an afterparty with live concerts.
The iconic Mundekulla Festival has a new headmaster this year. Jenny Wessel, who has been part of almost all previous festivals, took this role. The theme for the 26th Mundekulla Festival is “Keep the Fire Burning.” While we will maintain traditional elements such as morning circles and evening concerts, without Peter Elmberg, it will not be quite the same. However, this change makes it even more appealing and irresistible to join. Music will take center stage at the festival, participants will have more free time to enjoy and children will be engaged in interesting and entertaining activities.
The Embodiment Festival, which debuted last year, proved to be a resounding success. Once again, we will be moving, breathing, playing, and creating through all the senses!
Our team has expanded this year. Carl-Johan Lindblom joined as Mundekulla manager this winter. He looks back on a successful career working for international hotel chains. However, one day he decided that it was enough and embarked on a four-year sailing journey around the world. After realizing this dream, Carl-Johan longed for the forest, and what better place to satisfy this longing than Mundekulla? Our new chef, Frederick Nowak, has a wealth of experience from various kitchens, including 4-star hotels in Switzerland and Germany, a Michelin-starred restaurant, and various large-scale kitchens. He joined Mundekulla along with his wife, Christine, who brings many years of experience in the hospitality business. Brittany Larsson, our new Experience & Housekeeping Leader, brings experience in GeoTourism and Sustainability.
We have already planted the first greens and vegetables in our greenhouse. The garden will expand this year, and we hope to meet the demand for salads and greens for our guests through our sustainable production. You are welcome to taste and explore the garden alone or with guidance from Elin, our garden leader.
