A letter from the Owners
Mundekulla saw countless sunny hours and days this season. Thank you so much to all the wonderful groups and guests having spent time here this summer. As we would say “once you come to Mundekulla, you will never leave but always return”.
Mundekulla is an amazing catalyst for positive energy in the true sense: The more you take, the more is left for others.
This is obviously not true for many other aspects our guests and friends appreciate here. Our team on site, our volunteers and contractors do an amazing job to make sure that Mundekulla is ready to give. The forests need talented care. Every piece taken from the newly groomed productive garden (… and the team fostered more than 100 species this summer and prepared the ground for even more next year …) has grown from carefully prepared soil. Soil that has been naturally developed to optimize biodiversity and its regenerative potential. The culinary delights coming from the Mundekulla kitchen were enhanced in many ways, but not least by a focus on home made breads. Mundekulla handed the iconic EcoTower over to our guests this summer. More units, like the renovated cottage on the hill and the ensemble of cosy Eneholm cottages will follow in suite. As you will come back to Mundekulla, feel warmly welcome and be prepared to submerse in carefully crafted details, in subtle changes, while knowing that you will energize as you used to do. Galina and I applaud our Mundekulla team for all their efforts and love they give to the place.
So far 2023 saw a number of new groups, festivals and events. We believe that the WimHof method sessions focusing on breathing and cold exposure fit here like hand in glove. The Hilma Project workshops provide a much-needed space for women to sing, paint and craft together. The Mundekulla Three Days of Running Festival is providing runners and their support teams with a unique opportunity to go for the best running experience (and not just a personal best time). Both academic and business teams spent time here to grow their sustainability agenda. Last but not least, we hope that choosing Mundekulla for their wedding ceremony and party provided the setting for an unforgettable day.
While we are waiting for the first snow to cover roofs and nature, we are equally excited to welcome the coming events, retreats, and festivals later this year and into 2024. Just to mention a few please see information above. As the leaves change and the seasons shift, our commitment to providing you with a haven of serenity and personal growth remains as ever. Thank you for being an essential part of the Mundekulla story. We look forward to creating more cherished memories together. Take good care, Galina & Martin
