Center Trail Bridge Project Moving Forward
We are delighted to announce that on March 10, 2020 the Woodside Town Council gave their final approval for the construction of the Center Trail Bridge. In the last several months, the Town Engineer sent out multiple bid requests in what turned out to be a very busy and competitive construction environment. As a result, the lowest bid was $236,850, which was a bit more than the original estimate. Fortunately, the Woodside Trails Club was able to fund the excess, and the Town approved the project for construction this summer. We want to give thanks to the Town Council that has voted 7-0 over the last four meetings to support this project, to the Town Engineer and staff that have worked so hard on the permits, bids and documentation, and most of all, to all the generous donors that made this possible:
Woodside Trails Club $85,850 Woodside Trails Committee Donation Fund $50,000 Woodside Town Capital Investment Program $35,000 WHOA! - Woodside-area Horse Owners Association $25,000 Mounted Patrol Foundation $15,000 Woodside Community Fund $10,000 CHAPS - Community Horse Advocacy Program for San Mateo County $ 5,000 Anne VanCamp $ 5,000 Tom Shanahon $ 5,000 Don Pugh $ 1,000
