SMCHA offered Free Riding Clinics at the Mounted Patrol
This past Fall, the San Mateo County Horsemen’s Association with the help of a $1000 donation from the Mounted Patrol Foundation, was once again able to offer free riding clinics to our local equestrians. There were a total of 4 clinics held in September and October at the Mounted Patrol grounds. Each offered both English and Western equitation and horsemanship as well as a novice class and training over obstacles. In all over 30 riders attended. The hope is to offer these twice a year in the Spring and the Fall. Big thanks to the trainers, participants and volunteers for making these clinics so successful.
Towne Creek Bridge – Construction story
For those of you interested in learning more about the all-volunteer construction of the Town Creek Bridge, Teri Baron has written up a great article discussing all the aspects and challenges of completing the project. She has included great photo’s as well, so we encourage you to click here and check it out. Also, in recognition of his Herculean efforts, the San Mateo County Horsemen’s Association designated Mike Bushee as Horseman of the Year. Congratulations to Mike. Well deserved.
