Hi,

Before I get to this week's topic I want to encourage you to visit and contribute to my new community. Visit the Inspired Voices Forum and comment on what you read here or anything else that's on your mind!

This week's newsletter dives into the transformative power of self-compassion. Often, you're your own harshest critic. Self-compassion offers an antidote to this inner critic, allowing you to treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding you'd offer a dear friend.

What is Self-Compassion?

Self-compassion involves three core elements:

  • Self-Kindness vs. Self-Judgment: Instead of berating yourself for mistakes, offer yourself understanding and support.

  • Common Humanity vs. Isolation: Recognize that everyone experiences struggles and imperfections. You're not alone in your challenges.

  • Mindfulness vs. Over-Identification: Observe your thoughts and feelings without judgment, rather than getting swept away by them.

Practical Exercise for Boosting Your Self-Compassion:

  • Letter of Self-Compassion: Write a letter to yourself from the perspective of a compassionate friend, offering support and understanding. Discover how..

This week, I invite you to share your biggest challenge in practicing self-compassion. Reply to this email or share your thoughts in our online community. Let's learn and grow together!
