Push Yourself I have another special message to inspire you this week. Gaining self esteem is about your mind and your body and perhaps beyond.
Life is not easy, and if I can use a sport analogy, you often have to make a decision whether to push yourself harder. Driving yourself too hard towards perfection is not going to help you, you will become exhausted and never find satisfaction. But giving up too quickly and not putting in the hard work to succeed will also stop you from achieving anything.
Don't make the mistake of thinking that achievements always lead to higher self esteem. It is what you think of yourself and your approach to life that counts.
So, to return to sport...
To be confident in your ability in a sport you need to train and practice and you also need to be fit by looking after your body. You need the right mindset and attitude to do your best and push yourself to improve.
Life is the same. If you stay in your safe zone and never challenge yourself, how can you get better or grow as a person? Facing difficulties with effort to push past them and improve, that is what will help you move forward.
So today think about this:
Are you pushing yourself or are you being safe? Are you pushing yourself too hard? Are you looking after your mind and body and preparing for success?
