Hi Friend,
I'm back this week with another inspiring message for you.
Today I want to talk about a trap we all can fall into.
Let me ask you these quick questions:
Do you try to be liked by everybody?
Do you sometimes feel like a victim?
Do you feel lost because of all the demands others put on you?
Yes, today's message is about trying to please others. If you are always
trying to get the approval of others and find it difficult to say no as a
result then life is tough. How important do you think it is to seek the
approval of YOU?
It is not selfish to think of your own wishes and put them before others
demands. It is a question of balance and if you get it wrong you'll feel
very bad indeed. What is selfish is to ignore others wishes completely or
act in a way that hurts others. By looking after YOU first you are able to
help others too so everyone benefits.
It's time you started seeking your own approval. Which is more important,
what others think or what you think? You see, if you want to build self
esteem you need to get the right balance in your life between what you want
and what others ask of you. Continue to help others, of course, but there
should be time for YOU too.
Self esteem is all about valuing YOU and realizing that you have a right to
your love as do others.
I've just written a new page on my website about this very topic today and
I wanted to share it with you:
