This week I want to pass on something that became obvious to me,
something you should do especially if you suffer from stress,
tiredness or overwork.
I’ll start by
saying this…
You need to put your
health and well-being before your work, your responsibilities and
before all else. You cannot do your job well if you are tired or
unwell.
It seems obvious but
are you rushing around to get things done or please others and at the
same time neglecting your own health?
I felt like this in
the past week. I stopped and suddenly thought, I’m going to look
after myself instead of continuing without thought.
I went to the gym. I
went out for a walk and I spent time on me. I rested and I did all
the things I wanted to do. After this, my work was still there
waiting. No disaster had happened. And most important of all, I felt
better.
You cannot just push
your way through life, dropping everything for work, or to fill your
time with being busy. You need some downtime, time to heal.
