Using your gifts and talents is one way to beat the odds.
Want to Know How to Create Your Own Economy?
Meet a Need or Provide a Solution for a Need The sewing community started sewing face mask to meet the need for face masks. There is a huge shortage worldwide. The face mask sewing community are meeting an immediate need. Some companies out there stopped making their normal product production and began manufacturing face mask.
Personally, I began to sew face masks to meet a need where I work as an engineer and department manager. Now, like many other seamstresses, I am sewing to meet the need in our communities. I have also created a Sewing Guide for the face mask with filter pocket and nose wire that anyone can download for free.
One fellow-seamstress sent me a notification that she had sewn 1000 face masks and counting. Out of heart she is helping others, but she has also created cashflow that prospers her family. Use Your Natural Resources Do an assessment of all the things that you know how to do or that you are good at doing. What are some of your “God Given Talents?” What skills do you possess? Make a list and write them down. Use all of your resources, such as your mind, your time, your computer, your hands, your sewing machine, your stove, etc. Don’t leave anything out when you are making your list.
Match up with Supply and Demand Apply the Supply and Demand strategy. Match up your skills, gifts, or talents where there is an increase in demand or a shortage in supply. The toilet tissue and paper towel companies increased their daily production because of supply and demand. The need and demand for tissue and paper towels is at a record high right now. Those companies will literally make billions this year because they used their resources to meet a need.
Become Creative Do something different. Open your mind to explore new ideas. This is not the time to be stuck in a rut. Your gifts, skills, and talents will make room for you! You have what it takes to make a difference as we navigate through this season.
