Our Florida Chapter volunteered at Feeding Northeast Florida where we made a difference by sorting food and getting it ready to be distributed in the community. We sorted 5,306 pounds of potatoes which equals 4,422 meals. Our guests did an amazing job! ~Charlene

We assisted our daughter, Beth Ann, who has disabilities in her annual fundraiser for Summer Get Away. She completed her task to "help her friends with disabilities come to camp". It is such a blessing to see the Lord move in her life and her level of understanding. ~Joe & Ann

You don’t need to be a Pastor or hold a special event to minister. Anyone can make a difference in the life of another. Anyone can be the "hands and feet" of Jesus by sharing an encouragement, giving a helping hand, listening, or praying... even just being a friend.

Today I ask myself, why do I love reaching out to people with disabilities. The Lord brought me back to where I was at in 1985 – broken over the burden of having two very medically-needy children. I thought back to the sleep deprivation as their caregiver on duty 24 hours a day.

The KEY to my healing was meeting others at my first Special Touch Get Away in 1987 - they were doing what I was doing - caring for their own child. The love, acceptance, and support my children and I received through Special Touch brought emotional healing into my life. ~Nancy*

Individuals and families impacted by disability are our brothers and sisters in the body of Christ. We all have opportunities that God can use for us to minister to and be ministered to by our fellow believers.
