Subject: Taking Important Steps of Faith - God is working!

We've all heard about the importance of taking a Step of Faith. 1 John 4:16 emphasizes that believing is our first step of faith, "We have come to know and believe in the love that God has for us."

Sometimes, in taking this first active step... believing and trusting God to work without knowing what might happen next... our faith amplifies what God is doing.

There are many examples, in this ministry, of people stepping out in faith, in response to what God has pressed on their heart to do. Just like the bible story of the widow's mite, small steps can make a big difference.

Steps of Faith from Guests

Trina has attended Summer Get Away as a guest for many years. Each year, as soon as she returns home from 'camp', she starts collecting her change in a plastic bag, saving up the entire year so that she can contribute to the offering at Summer Get Away.

Not only does this support our ministry, but it gives Trina a deeper sense of confidence and purpose in knowing she can be obedient to God and help a program that she loves.

A few weeks ago, we sent out a prayer request across the ministry. Within the first 24 hours, a number of guests (and staff) replied in response, that they would join us in prayer.

When we shared, further, that we were here to pray for any needs, we received several requests from guests - one looking for a job, another dealing with health and medical issues, and a few struggling with family loss and disconnection. Each person in these examples, took that first step of faith believing that God answers prayers.

Steps of Faith from Staff

A Missionary Associate takes a step of faith, to speak at a church. This leads to a group of staff taking a step of faith to volunteer at a Summer Get Away. Which leads us to hear, "The best part about my week was when a guest prayed for me!" or "Thank you so much for inviting us to experience this!"

One volunteer staff even brought a note from her employer that read "I see the joy and happiness serving this ministry brings [to employee] and I'm happy and proud to support this organization." This volunteer had taken a step of faith, sharing with her employer about the Summer Get Away program.

We want you to know... God IS working through your prayers and financial support, your first steps of faith. The pictures on these pages are just a sample of what we've seen this summer. We don't have enough room to share all the comments we receive, but from our Summer programs across the US we're hearing... Souls are being saved, people are being baptized, relationships are developing, and lives are being changed!

All because of the many who are taking those important steps of faith, believing, along with us. Thank you.
