Carol, a first-time guest at Summer Get Away, was having a great week. She shared with MA, Nettamara Doak, her morning’s devotion from Psalm 133:1 “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”

They had a great conversation, along with the other guests in her cabin, discussing the significance of that bible verse, how God cares about everything, how that verse relates to the ‘Family Reunion’ theme, and the importance of unity within God's family.

Friendships are necessary to a fulfilling life.

The bible emphasizes the importance of friendship among believers. Friendships connect people through shared experiences, laughter, and mutual support. Friendships foster understanding and create stronger faith communities.

Including people with disabilities in our church provides a place where every BODY can be valued, respected, and can contribute... supporting one another.

Yet, for many of those impacted by disability, opportunities for meaningful friendships can be limited. In fact, some people with disabilities consider caregivers or paid staff among their few friends.

Special Touch Ministry is dedicated to supporting and equipping environments for friendships among believers to grow and flourish.

Get Aways, Chapters, Gatherings, and Online Meetings enable friendships that enrich the lives of all involved and provide access for people to experience God, be included in the church, and build meaningful relationships.
