The Get Away schedule, full of fun activities, included multiple opportunities for discipleship. Our guests and volunteers said their favorite parts were the Bible Walk and Bible Quiz! Intellectual disabilities are not barriers to learning biblical truths. Every person should have the opportunity to know God, grow in Him, and serve God with the gifts He has given!
The Summer Get Away makes the Gospel accessible. It provides opportunities for growth. And last, but certainly not least, it gives our guests opportunities to SERVE! This year's outreach project included making comfort bags for kids in crisis or foster care. Bag after bag was packed full of crayons, books, personal items, and so much more!
Every year this Get Away requires financial support, prayers, faithful volunteers, and trusting families. We are overwhelmed with the incredible support from all those who prayed, gave of their time, and trusted us to care for their loved ones. And we are so grateful for the families and caregivers who joined us. Thank you! Thank you for making the Gospel accessible through the Special Touch Summer Get Away here in Ohio! |
