So after fours years of hemming and hawing and thinking about it, and forgetting about it, (or so I thought) only to rinse and repeat the same process over and over in my mind finally, on April 9th of this year I pressed the publish button and my new podcast for Creative Entrepreneurs officially went live!!
As a creative, it can be a total mind f*&k to get ourselves to act on a project (even ones perfectly suited for us) because of fear, fear of judgment, fear no one will like what we create, or worse, buy it.
True, your fears may be founded but you'll never know until you finally put your creation out there (ok, cue the bows and arrows)
Oh, wait... maybe it won't be as bad as we think!
That's the reality of a living a creative life.
Even with the risk of a few annoying scratches at best and possibly a bruised ego at worst if the gift you're here to present to the world actually makes it a better place isn't that worth some temporary discomfort?
So the question I had to ask myself to finally get into action
"What am I more concerned about?
Looking foolish and feeling "safe" or planting my stake in the ground and seeing if my words, thoughts, teachings, and an occasional rant thrown in for good measure could actually help creatives like you and me "get on with it"
What did I have to truly lose aside from my dignity?"
I figure by now you can guess what I chose...
