THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT A BRIDGE

I would argue that for some reason people seem to like having their picture taken on bridges. DPI's collection of bridge photographs range from the Golden Gate to an Inca rope bridge and many variation in between.  People also seem to like having their picture taken with their cars and on trains. Something in the mind's unconscious is going on which is better left to a more academic discussion.  "Old Railroad Bridge", c.1918 puts these folks on the tracks.  Hopefully, there is no train in sight.  "Bear Mountain Bridge"; New York State c.1930 shows two men on the deserted bridge during the Great Depression. Perhaps this connection to bridges, trains and cars gives people hope for a better future.
