How do you know when that decisive moment is? One way would be "see" an image that looks like a painting as we believe the images presented here reflect. Such images are few and far between so the photographer needs to be aware when special conditions present themselves. Above is "Old Fisherman"; Jacksonville, Florida (February 15, 1892). You are looking at a 124 year old photo. Note the Spanish Moss and the bamboo fishing pole. We offer this image in black and white as well as sepia, which we prefer in this case, as presented here. Below is an image that we call "The Rancher", c.1905. Taken somewhere on the Great Plains the composition comes together in the decisive moment.
