STANDING ROCK

In recent years protests against the extension of the Dakota Access Pipeline have taken place at Cannon Ball on the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota. The Lakota seen in these two photos date from an earlier time. Above is "Standing Rock", Cannon Ball, North Dakota (August 23, 1923). Note the chains on the tires because of the mud. Also note the American flag and the tribal flag. Below is "Standing Rock: Lakota Family",Cannon Ball, North Dakota (August 16, 1923). Licencing is based on usage.
