| | SALUTE TO OUR MERCHANT MARINE
Often overlooked was the heroic service performed by our Merchant Marine in delivering supplies to the front during World War II. These images are of the SS Arkansas (1) and (2) showing the results of a torpedo hit by the German submarine U-156 as the ship was in port at the time in Aruba, Netherlands West Indies (February 16, 1942). Sailors on these merchant ships faced the enemy with limited protection. Licensing is based on usage. Please use DPI's "add to cart to calculate your final cost.
