REMEMBERING THE 1950s

For many people the 1950s meant the end of the war and prosperity. These two  images argue that for others little has changed. Above we present "Child Farmers"; San Antonio, Texas c.1955. Preparing these children to take over the farm one day. Below is "Open Pit Miners"; U. S. c,1950. Mining is still hard, dirty work but necessary if you need to put food on the table.
