In light of the current immigration situation DPI is proud to join with Google and others in honoring the past sacrifices of Japanese-Americans interned for years during World War II. Required reading are the Supreme Court cases of Korematsu v. United States (1941) and Hirabayashi v. United States (1943). Above is "Japanese-American Internment Camp"; Puyallup, Washington (May 27, 1942). Camp Harmony, a temporary internment camp, was established on the Puyallup Fair Grounds a/k/a Puyallup Assembly Center. Below is one of the surviving buildings of the "Tule Lake Interment Camp"; Tule Lake, California (August 9, 1972).
