Lots of things are shipped in barrels so it is impossible to say with absolute certainty that the barrels on the above horse cart contain Irish whiskey. Common sense though would suggest that we can conclude with a high degree of probability that we are looking at a load of Irish whiskey. "Irish Whiskey"; Ireland c.1938.

| | | And across the Atlantic "The Dock Worker" unloads barrels from a ship in New Brunswick, Canada c.1932. Similar barrels. They could contain almost anything including Irish whiskey. Prohibition existed in Canada as well as the U. S., but was repealed during the 1920s in the various provinces. We assess that the barrels being offloaded, if they did contain Irish whiskey, were legal in 1932 under Canadian law.
