| | HOMAGE TO JACOB RIIS
The above photo, "Italian Mother and Child", was taken by the great social photographer Jacob Riis in 1890 and is included in his work "How The Other Half Lives". It is sometimes referred to as his "Madonna" photo as it is similar to many Madonna and Child works by various painters and sculptors. As an homage to this great man DPI presents the photo shown below "Coming To America"; Los Angeles, California (1916). This 85 year old grandfather has been taken to night school by his grandson to learn English.
