Georges Seurat is probably best know for his painting, "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" (1884). Featured in the film "Ferris Buhler"s Day Off', Cameron was struck by the expression on the little girl's face in the center of the painting in the white dress. Having said that, we were likewise moved by the expression on this little girl's face in our presentation, "Winter of '35" taken in Marquette, Michigan (1935).See more images in our 1930s collection.
