OUR NATURAL DISASTER COLLECTION INCLUDES IMAGES OF EARTHQUAKES, TORNADOES, FLOODS, HURRICANES AND SIMILAR DISASTERS RESULTING IN LOSS OF LIFE AND PROPERTY DAMAGE. THE "CYPRESS STREET VIADUCT" WAS TAKEN IN SAN FRANCISCO ON OCTOBER 17, 1989. TECHNICALLY KNOW AS THE LOMA PRIETA EARTHQUAKE IT IS ALSO KNOWN AS THE WORLD SERIES EARTHQUAKE AS IT DISRUPTED THE GAME. THE GREATEST LOSS OF LIFE OCCURRED ON THE VIADUCT AS IT COLLAPSED KILLING MOTORISTS TRAPPED BETWEEN THE TWO LEVELS OF THE FREEWAY.

| | | THESE HOMES WERE DESTROYED BY AN F3 TORNADO THAT HIT ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA ON NOVEMBER 7, 1957. TWO PEOPLE DIED IN ALEXANDRIA, TEN IN ALL OF LOUISIANA AND MANY MORE IN TEXAS. "LOUISIANA TORNADO" SHOWS THE DEVASTATION IN RELATION TO A YOUNG RESIDENT WHO HAS LOST HIS HOME.
