DO YOU REMEMBER - 1935?

In Massachusetts and far from the Dust Bowl people dealt with the Depression as best they could. Above is "Haverhill, Massachusetts"; c.1935. A street scene in December following a light snowfall. While out west the summer of 1935 saw scenes of "Slash Burning" as was this one in Clancy, Montana. Slash burning was a contributing factor to soil erosion and a precursor of the Dust Bowl.
