CREATIVE COLLECTION

While our primary focus is photojournalism and documentary photography that does not mean that we ignore outstanding creative images when we can acquire them.  "Shiprock" (1972) meets the criteria as an image worthy of our attention.  Shiprock National Monument in New Mexico can be seen from the Four Corners area, and its beauty varies with distance and illumination.

"Abandoned Shack" was taken in the Mojave desert in November 1963.  The Southwest contains a number of Ghost Towns, and we have numerous photos of these abandoned mining towns in our Creative collection.  These mining towns can be found not only throughout the Southwest but also especially in California and the Northwest.  As the ore ran out the towns died.
