AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM

It all depends on your point of view of course.  Something to keep in mind moving forward in this century.  "Living In The Promised Land", California 1946.  A father and his son share a close relationship in post war America.

We are reminded of Jacob Riis' essay "How The Otther Half Lives" (1890).  His documentary is as valid today as it always has been. "North Carolina, c. 1923" shows the Yancey brothers and their pet dog under difficult conditions.
