| | Our 2018 Young Authors Conference theme is Connecting the World—One Story at a Time. We're excited to announce our keynote: Green Card Voices. Green Card Voices works with young immigrants from two metro area high schools. These
relationships have resulted in two books written by 60 students from
Wellstone International High School, Minneapolis, and LEAP High School,
St. Paul. Our theme and keynote will challenge young writers to craft stories that will explore the power of
personal narrative. At YAC, students attend three sessions led by published authors, journalists, poets, storytellers, songwriters,
playwrights and more. YAC will motivate students to become better writers and
encourage students to use their stories to connect with others here in
their community, their school, and across the world.
For grades 4-8
