"This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred
cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high. 16 Make a roof
for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit high all
around. Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and
upper decks."
~ Genesis 5:15-16 NIV

| God knows what He is doing and He knows what he wants done.
He’s not like us trying to figure it out and test things until they are just right. He doesn’t need to do market research or any analysis to identify what the best solution will be.
He created it all and knows it all. What He is looking for from you is willingness.
When God called Noah to build the ark there are a few key points to remember:
- Noah was “too old” to build an ark (over 500 years old)
- Noah had never seen an ark before
- Noah had never seen a flood before
And yet as v.22 states…“Noah did everything just as God commanded him.”
No questions, no back talk, no doubt recorded in the bible…just immediate obedience.
Has God ever called you to do something new and you struggled with obeying because there was no model to follow? There was nobody that had quite done it like He called you to do it.
That’s exactly what happened to Noah and he prospered because of his faith in God and willingness to obey.
I do believe Noah had doubts. I think he had tons of questions along the way accompanied with the feeling of just quitting. But his obedience never wavered.
Friend, I believe God is calling us to do the unthinkable. He wants men of valor to rise up in society, and our homes, and act in radical obedience for the kingdom. We are the ones that are supposed to be setting the example of what a real man looks like.
God wants to do something new in this corrupt world and your willingness is necessary. Sometimes God will show you a model to follow, other times He will give you his word.
Your spirit needs to be willing to move forward regardless.
The promises of God are many, but the willingness of those willing to pursue are few.
What are you willing to do for your Savior Jesus Christ?
Lets pray…
“Father today I pray for your will be magnified in my life. No longer am I willing to put my will first. You have given so much to me the least I could do is be ready and willing to move on your every instruction without delay. God I know you will not call me to do anything you have not empowered me to do. You will not leave me or forsake me. Help my unbelief that prevents me to operate in total willingness towards your word. In Jesus name I pray, Amen." |
