Subject: Whose glory?

Psalms 50:15 - Whose Glory?

“Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.” (Psalms 50:15 NLT)

by Chris

God wants the glory in all you do.

He deserves the credit for every new day and the victories granted to you.

It is a constant process of self-denial to minimize your pride and realize that it was nothing but the grace of God that has allowed you to see this day.

As you endure trials and tribulations, God receiving the glory should be your primary focus. You should be looking forward on how you will tell your story and show the hand of God in it.

Otherwise it’s just selfish gain.

Does your deliverance from your trials bring glory to God? If not, deliverance by the hand of God is just a lofty hope. A shot in the dark.

However, if the pain is too great. The trial overwhelming. The deliverance is in the hand of God alone.

Reflect on your trials and how you are going through. If you can remove the pain yourself there is no room for God to get the glory.

Otherwise, call upon the name of the Lord. Rely on His strength and provision to see you through. Delight in all He has done in your life and is willing to do.

Then you will see just how great our God is.

He alone is worthy of the glory.

Lets pray...

“Father as hard as it may be, I thank you for my trials. I thank you for the fact that I cannot overcome them without you. In fact, I don’t want to. Lord if I can do it without you, I don’t want to do it at all. My desire is to give you glory in all that I do, all that I am, and all that I overcome. In Jesus name I pray, Amen”
