1 Peter 5:7 - Who Cares? “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”
(1Peter 5:7 NLT)
by Chris
I’m reminded of a recent road trip.
I was traveling late at night to allow my children to sleep while we journeyed the road.
No traffic, decent weather conditions, and a well running car had me feeling pretty comfortable.
Until we encountered fog.
The temperature change at night had caused thick clouds of fog to form on the highway. Allowing you to see, at best, about 5 feet ahead.
Clutching the wheel tighter and slowing down I found were my natural reflexes. My ease and comfort now disrupted by no longer being able to see the path ahead.
Isn’t that how life is? Filled with unexpected events and unexpected times. We're good as long as we can see where we're going.
It’s the times when you can’t see the road ahead that you should delight in being able to cast your cares on God. Let Him take the wheel and navigate you through the fog.
Slide over to the driver’s seat and simply enjoy the ride.
Brothers, I made it through the fog just fine, and arrived at my destination safely.
Whatever your fog is, cast your cares on God. He will see you through.
Lets pray...
“Dear Lord, help me to keep on trusting You, no matter how thick the fog! Amen.” |
