Jeremiah 20:19 - Uncontrollable "But if I say I'll never mention the LORD or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It's like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can't do it! “ (Jeremiah 20:19)

You just have to let it out.
Each day I type these devotionals I cannot help but feel extremely thankful to God for all He has done and is doing.
There are times I just have to say it. Keeping it in is like fire in my bones and I can’t hold back anymore.
So here it goes...
THANK YOU LORD for keeping me in my right mind.
THANK YOU LORD for waking me up every single morning.
THANK YOU LORD for my family.
THANK YOU LORD for providing for my needs and desires.
THANK YOU LORD for my house.
THANK YOU LORD for my church.
THANK YOU LORD for my best friend.
THANK YOU LORD for never giving up on me.
THANK YOU LORD for the mentors you’ve placed in my life.
THANK YOU LORD for pushing me into my destiny even when I didn’t want to move.
THANK YOU LORD for covering my children at school every day.
THANK YOU LORD for dying on the cross for my sins.
THANK YOU LORD for every single man on this devotional.
This list could go on and on.
What is missing from this list that you are thankful to God for? Something that you have a hard time keeping in and just feel the need to tell someone.
Hit reply and tell me.
Go ahead and let it out. With the power of written words let the thankfulness of the Lord stream out of your heart and bones and onto the screen.
Let the fire out.
Time to pray...
“Father, thank you for _______________________ (<- fill in the blank). Amen” |
