Subject: Truth about money

Daily encouragement for men of faith
“The servant who received the five bags of silver began to invest the money and earned five more.”

~ Matthew 25:16 NLT
There is nothing wrong with money.

A lot of people think it’s not “holy” for Christians to have money in abundance. They tend to think it corrupts good character and turns people evil once they get it.

Yet, it is clear in the bible that God wants you to have money. He just doesn’t want you to have more than you have prepared to receive.

Two things about money I have learned:
  1. Money is a magnifier. It doesn’t make you into someone else, it magnifies who you already are.
  2. Money needs instruction. It flows where you tell it to go.
The parable of the three servants is one of investing. It pleased the man when his servants multiplied what they were given.

God showed me we have to start looking at money as employees that have one job only…make more of themselves.

Money has the power to clone itself time and time again, money is the hardest working employee you will ever have, and money will always listen and do exactly what you tell it.

So what are you telling your money to do?

Are you telling it to just pay bills?

Maybe you’re telling your money to wait in a savings account for a rainy day?

What about begging more to come back once you’ve spent what you had?

Hopefully you’re like the servant who told his money to grow.

Today, I want you to start praying for the mind of an investor. Pray that God teaches you how to command every dollar you receive to multiply itself before you spend it.

A lot of people are broke and struggling financially not because of money problems, but from a lack of understanding how to grow the money they have received over the years.

As men we really need to get this in our spirits because our families are depending on us. If you know you can’t keep living paycheck to paycheck, and you’re money has been funny for quite some time…more money is not the answer.

But a shift in your mindset towards money is.

Lets pray…

“Father turn me from a consumer into an investor. Teach me how to break the cycle of financial lack in my family. Help me to forget all that I have learned about money and embrace how you created me to look at and treat money. I speak financial freedom all over my life today. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.”
