| Trusting in flesh is foolish. Period.
However, it’s easy to fall into the cycle of trusting in the provision of man. It’s not uncommon to start looking at the resource as your source.
For instance, your job is a resource it is not your source of income. God is your infinite source that has chosen to provide for you through a resource called a job.
At any moment the resource can be replaced with another. But The Source remains the same.
In addition, at any time a resource can and will fail you. But The Source is never failing and always working.
This is why all of your faith should lie in God. He is your source that creates and provides all. Men and material things are temporal resources never meant to own your sole dependance.
They are resources called to provide, support, or encourage you for a time and will fade away once their season in your life is over.
Misunderstanding this principle can have you hanging on to things, people, and experiences longer than you should. Finding it hard to say goodbye to seasonal provisions, and relationships, God has placed in your life.
Instead of understanding that whatever leaves your life, God will replace in a greater capacity. As long as you stay plugged in you will never lack.
Flesh and feelings change like the wind. What was promised today will change tomorrow. But the word of God is always the same.
His promise never fails.
Turn your heart and desires towards Him and him alone.

“Lord help me to trust and desire for you alone. Man will fail me. I will fail myself as well. But you are always faithful Father. Holy Spirit reveal to me when seasons change and what to let go of. Whatever happens in my life, I know as long as I have my faith in Christ - I win. Thank you Jesus! Amen.” |
