| Ain’t no quitting in God.
He is and remains the ultimate finisher.
Growing up I remember the emotional roller coaster my mother would go on every time my father started a new project.
She was so excited when she saw him purchasing materials and starting to build. Only to end up disappointed when he stopped around 80% complete.
I can also remember more than a handful of friends that started off strong with me. Promised to have my back no matter what. Only to disappear when times got tough, my zip code changed, or I chose to live a life for Christ.
This just doesn’t happen with God. You have to be very careful that you don’t project the expectations and disappointments of man onto God.
He is far greater.
His is the author of finishing. He created clutch. There are no unfinished projects in his kingdom. And he has never abandoned anybody…even those that hate him.
What ever God started in your life He will finish it.
No matter how much it hurts and regardless of what it may look like right now - He will come through and do exactly what he promised.
Take heart today in knowing that your promise is already prepared. It’s already finished.
You just need to endure by faith to inherit it.

“Father, thank you for never giving up on me. Help me to imitate your faithfulness to me towards others in my life so they can more closely identify with the fruits of living a life for Christ. I believe you have completed a great work in my life and pray for the strength of the Holy Spirit to help me continue to endure by faith. I will choose to press forward confidently knowing that the latter is far greater than anything I’ve been through or am going through. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.” |
