| | "For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light
shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory
displayed in the face of Christ.”
~ 2 Corinthians 4:6 NIV |
| God is so amazing.
There are times in life that God will reveal things to you in a way that truly ministers to your soul.
This happened to me yesterday and I wanted to encourage you with it today.
I currently live in Minnesota where this winter has been brutal. We've seen below 50 degree days and for the last 4 months the weather has barely broken single digits.
Not to mention it snowed so much that some streets have piles of snow plowed that stands over 6 ft. tall.
The situation made me:
- Tired of looking at it
- Tired of living in it
- Tired of waiting for it to leave
Have you ever felt that way about a circumstance in your life?
Yet, instead of the snow melting it kept coming down. The weather just kept getting colder. My circumstance simply wouldn’t budge. Sound familiar?
Until the “sun” showed up.
What took over 4 months to create was instantly diminished the second the "sun" started shining on it.
God showed me that no matter how bad the situation you're facing or how long you've been in it...He's in control.
In a moment, God can turn your present burden into a distant memory. It doesn’t matter how long you have been facing it, God can turn your life around immediately.
No matter how long you've been enduring, all it takes is a little bit of Son-shine to melt away your sorrows and pain so you can see the beauty and purpose of it all…
...to give God the glory he deserves.
Let's pray...
"Father, thank you for the Son. It gets so hard to carry on at times, but you are ALWAYS worth waiting on. Lord, shine on me today. Melt away any hurt, guilt, anger, or bitterness I may be holding in. Shine on my heart and purify it Lord. I give my entire self to you Father. In Jesus name I pray, Amen."
