We all know about Peter’s attempt to walk on water.
How Jesus called Him out of is present and commanded him into his future by faith.
And Peter did just that.
He literally stepped out on faith and walked on water. The only other person documented in the bible to do so was Jesus. This was an extraordinary accomplishment until Peter looked at the wind.
Every time I read this scripture I always wonder “what does wind look like and how do you see it?”.
How did Peter chose to believe the invisible wind when there was the visible God standing right before him? In these times it’s often the other way around.
Nevertheless, Peter started sinking when he decided that what he perceived as danger was a bigger than His Savior.
He decided to believe the world’s report instead of the Lord’s.
What has God called you to step out on faith in?
Is it your job, a relationship, a business endeavor, leadership position, investment, or a friendship?
Are you aware of the promise on your life that can only be obtained through a walk of faith?
Today, pursue it relentlessly. Don’t listen to the naysayers and the side talk. It’s nothing but wind. Stay focused ahead on what Christ has called you to do.
Knowing that by faith the victory is always yours.

“Father I’m sorry for getting distracted. I choose to believe you from now on over the report of the world. I decide to walk into my destiny by faith with you leading the way and providing along my path. Father strengthen me in my spirit that when I want to turnaround I find strength in your word. Fill me with Holy Spirit that I may know your will for my life clearly. In Jesus name I pray…Amen” |
