| | “Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.”
~ Micah 7:18 NIV |
| There is no God like our God.
He is ready and willing to forgive every sin you commit no matter how frequently you commit them.
No matter how badly you treat God, he always operates in the spirit of forgiveness.
God has an ability that we will never know. It is the ability to truly forget and forgive. Once you repent, God erases any trace of your sin from his memory.
He knows all but chooses to have a short term memory when it comes to his most loved creation.
The battle lies within you.
Can you give it to God and move one?
Can you release the feeling of guilt, shame, and defeat and press on knowing the promise has not been forfeited by your sin?
I can assure you one of the hardest things to do in life is to forgive yourself of past sins. To not look at yourself as being disqualified from the race for your shortcomings.
This is a trick of the enemy.
To get you to believe that God is somehow holding grudges from remembering your sins. That you are no longer any good for kingdom use.
God loves you. There is nothing that He would not do to see you spend eternity with him. He paid the ultimate price of death for you to show.
God will not remain angry...he delights in extending you mercy.
It's your job to receive it.
Let's pray...
"God, help me to be more like you and have a short memory for my sins. I choose to your mercy instead of guilt and shame. In Jesus name I pray...Amen."
