Proverbs 25:19 - Reliable “Putting confidence in an unreliable person in times of trouble is like chewing with a broken tooth or walking on a lame foot.” (Proverbs 25:19 NLT)
by Chris
We’ve all experienced it before.
Someone close to you dropping the ball when it really counted. Just when you thought they had your back - they disappear.
This is a trait of the flesh. It’s bound to happen to you and you are bound to do it to someone else.
What is encouraging is that this trait of the flesh does not exist in God. He is never absent in your times of need.
He is the only one that is truly worthy of your trust and faith when it really counts. When you absolutely have no room for error…it is God who you should rely on.
Rely on His will and His way. He will never let you down.
Life will continue to throw curve balls and play an unfair hand. You have to make up in your mind to rely on Jesus no matter what.
No matter what it looks like, God is on your side.
And if God is for you…who can be victorious against you?
If you are holding a grudge against someone who has left you in your time of need it may be time to forgive them. Whether it was intentional or not, it is a trait of the flesh.
Take inventory in your life and make sure you didn’t misplace too much trust in man alone. An amount of trust that should only be placed in Jesus.
Lets pray…
“Father man has failed me. I have been continuously let down time after time. But you Lord always have my back. I thank you for never leaving me in the middle of my situation. When others run away, teach me to run towards you. Find refuge in your ever loving arms. In Jesus name I pray, Amen”
