Malachi 3:10-11 - Provide and Protect “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty.” (Malachi 3: 10-11 NIV)

He’s just waiting on you.
Waiting for you to take Him at his word, do what he says do, and reap your blessing.
I’ve heard this scripture a lot pertaining to tithes. In fact, this is the cornerstone scripture for supporting tithe giving in the church.
However, there is another meaning to this scripture that one can take away.
It is the fact that there are some blessings that can only be accessed by your obedience. Your full obedience.
You have to be careful expecting the floodgates to open up if you haven’t first exercised total obedience.
In the context of this scripture there are floodgates of blessings that can only be accessed through your giving of the full 10% tithe. 9.5 or 9.9% will not do. God wants the entire tithe.
Once you’ve completed that step of obedience “your cup shall overfloweth with blessings”.
Are you in need of an abundant blessing today?
But God doesn’t stop there. He also provides protection for the provision. Because no man, or force, can ever take away what God has given.
That’s the kind of provision you should be seeking in your life. A provision that comes with an insurance policy built in with no extra charge.
The blessings and protection of God are readily available to you if you only become obedient.
I challenge you to write down a list of things you feel God has called you to obedience in. If you are actively doing them, what are your results?
If not, what is holding you back from acting on His instruction?
If you are anything like me, you simply cannot afford to not be obedient to His word. Because the kind of provision you need for you life and family cannot be given by man.
Lets pray…
“Father help me to be more obedient to your instruction. No matter the size of the step you ask me to take, let me be willing to take it. I want your provision for my life. Your blessing. I am cheerful just at the thought of what full obedience will produce in my life. Thank you Jesus. Amen.” |
