Revelation 22:15 - Penmanship And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” (Revelation 22:15 NIV)

There is so much power in writing.
I’m a techy. I love my electronics. In fact, while at a recent, weekend workshop I often entertained the thought of buying an iPad for note taking purposes.
However, I find so much more power in manually writing it down. Something about putting my arm and wrist into motion to capture to words spoken.
The voice from the throne agrees as well.
When is the last time you wrote down a revelation God has given you? Take it a step further...
When was the last time you wrote what God revealed to you about what your identity was?
I believe even if there were technology back then God’s instructions would still be to write. To physically create the words spoken with your hand and mind.
Though I have no hard proof, many have found writing things down have the following benefits:
- Helps your memory
- Forms a permanent record
- Shows you’re serious
- Keeps you accountable
- Helps you work through problems
God is refining us into new creatures daily. He is grooming us through trials and faith to be in His presence eternally.
When God speaks into our lives we should both listen, then write it down.
Brothers show God you’re serious today and start keeping a journal of His revelation and instruction in your life. Take time in your daily devotional and write to God how you feel or what’s on your mind.
Embrace the power of writing to build a deeper connection with our Father.
Lets pray...
“Father we believe in the power of writing. We value your words and presence in our lives. Speak to us Lord and reveal your ways so that we may write them down and make them permanent in our lives. We promise to use the power of the pen to create a deeper, stronger bond with you. In Jesus name, Amen.” |
