Daily encouragement for men of faith
“So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

~ Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV
Imagine this…

As a young man your father comes to you and asks you to go pick up some tools from the local hardware store.

He explains how he already drove down there himself, paid for the tools, and let the owner know that his son would be coming to pick them up.

He provides you with the car full of fuel, the gps unit with the address already typed in, and the receipt of purchase.

Before you leave he firmly lets you know that returning without the tools is not an option. If you don’t come back with the tools, don’t come back.

You arrive at the store and the cashier acts as if he doesn’t know you or your father. He dismisses your claim to the tools your father paid for and asks you to leave his store.

Here’s the problem…you have set in your mind, “I ain’t leaving here without what’s mine.”

Your blood pressure starts to rise a bit and your finger tips start to tingle because you know the confrontation that is about to take place.

At this point it’s not about what’s right or wrong, it’s about your father’s instruction and your willingness to do whatever it takes to fulfill his command to you.

You gently place the receipt on the counter, grab the tools that belong to your father, look the cashier in the eye and tell him, “you’re gonna have to carry me out of this store in a body bag before I leave without what is mine”.

With the receipt on the counter you walk out of the store with your father’s tools. The cashier has no choice but to accept it.

This same level of boldness is required in our faith walk.

If you correlate this story to our spiritual walk you see Christ as the father, the tools as your destiny, and the cashier as life. God has given you life (the vehicle full of fuel) and direction (the Word of God) to walk into your destiny.

You understand Christ has paid it all and has the blood receipt to prove it. Yet, life will try to withhold a destiny that is rightfully yours. Life will try to deny you of your inheritance.

It is those times that you have to profess, with boldness, what is yours. Look life in the eye and take it, instead of waiting for it to be handed over to you.

Christ has already gone before you and paid the price. His work is done.

It's your turn to walk into your destiny with ultimate confidence and boldness taking by force all that God has promised for your life.

It’s yours anyway.

Lets pray…

“Lord, give me the boldness to take what is mine. Fill my mouth with the right words that will cause those in the way of my promise to step aside. I claim unprecedented favor all over my life. And know that it is my boldness in Christ that is required for the complete ceasing of what you have in store for me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.”
