| | “But Samuel replied: “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and
sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than
sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.”

| Good requires you to live a life of order.
He wants you to step out on faith, but more importantly to do it in order. He will not honor sacrifice over obedience.
For married men that means that you must always provide for your family first. Make sure your wife and children have all they need before you fully pursue your purpose in life.
When I started my business it took a great leap of faith. I came to agreement with my wife and started our journey.
We sacrificed a LOT for the sake of the calling on my life. However, there was a point where the sacrifice became too great for my family. To continue at the rate I was going would have been out of order.
I knew God had called me to a life of entrepreneurship, but before that he called me to be a provider and protector of family.
I had to come to a point where I was willing to put my pursuit on hold to maintain order in my calling as a husband and father.
The second I did that God moved mightily on my behalf. Opportunities came my way left and right. I realized the life of lack I was living was more in vain than it was in faith.
Here's the best part...every opportunity that came my way allowed me to provide and kept me in the path to my purpose.
That's the kind of God we serve.
He can do all things for you and through you if you remain obedient to the order in life he has called you to.
God doesn't want you to sacrifice your family's well-being for the sake of his calling on your life. He wants you to operate in order and believe.
Order is the fuel faith needs to accomplish what God had called you to do. It is your guarantee that his promise on your life will come to pass.
Don’t operate your faith without it.
Let's pray...
"Father forgive me for operating out of order and putting sacrifice before obedience. For pursuing my purpose with pride and selfishness. Help me to never put anything before my first ministry...my family. I know you are not a God that takes away more than you give freely. I believe that you will always provide me with opportunities that allow me to both pursue my purpose and provide for my family. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.” |
