Recently I received some new work that requires me to be in a city where I get pretty poor cell phone reception.
Consequently, I ended up having to drive over 5 miles to get to an area with good reception so I can handle my business calls and have email accesss.
About 1 mile away I found a small hub of restaurants. I didn't think anything of it since I already surrendered all expectations of finding recpetion anywhere close.
As I'm eating in one of the restaurants I happen to check my phone and realize there is free internet access with full bars.
Surprised, since I've driven around the area searching for hotspots before with no luck, I connected and was good to go.
Immediately I saw the lesson in my journey. I realized that everything I need had always been within a mile away.
This is the approach I see too many people taking with Jesus. He is all you will ever need and is always just a reach and a prayer away.
Yet, people tend to go out and search for what is already within close proximity. He already has everything you need and is just waiting on you to realize it.
Do not overlook all that is given to you in Christ.
Searching the world for satisfaction will always leave you empty and unfulfilled.
Lean on God. Go to God first in all that you do. He's deserves to be treated much greater than a last resort solution.
He is the only resort that will always work.

"Father forgive me for looking outside for things you have already placed inside of me by your Holy Spirit. I acknowledge that all I will ever need is in you. Let my heart be pressed towards seeking more of you more of the time. I chose you first Lord, you are all that I need. In Jesus name I pray, Amen."
