Burn your bridges.
Sometimes that is the only way to protect yourself from back tracking.
When Pharaoh and his men were engulfed by the Red Sea after pursuing Moses it eliminated the path to return to slavery for the Isrealites. God would not allow them to return to what he had just delivered them from.
What He called them to was far greater than what He delivered them from.
That is how bad God wants you to keep moving forward towards your promise no matter what.
He wants you to burn any bridges that allow you a safe path of return to a life of comfort and predictability. He wants you to step so far out on faith that only His provision can see you through.
What God has in store for you is beyond your comprehension. Don’t let the unknown scare you, delight in the fact that God is going to blow your mind with all he has in store for you.
But you have to press on and be willing to let go of that in which you know, to embrace the abundant possibilities of the unknown in Christ.
Let’s pray (courtesy of Pastor Jamaal Bryant),
“Dear Lord, today show me a sign I must continue, give me a reason not to quit, send a partner to collaborate & shorten the commute. Amen.”
