Deuteronomy 4:30-31 - Never Too Much

“30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the Lord your God and obey him.

31 For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.” (Deuteronomy 4:30-31 NIV)

I am always humbled by God’s grace.

No matter how far away from His will you stray, He is always ready and willing to take you back in with open arms.

He is actually waiting for you to return so that He can fulfill the promise on your life. No grudges, no need to work your way back in good, and no penalty.

Simply love in exchange for your act of obedience.

Remember I mentioned that there are certain blessings only your obedience can unlock. This is a prime example.

The previous verse 29 reads, “But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

When you seek God with all your heart it will show itself in obedience. This is the obedience that will unlock the blessings of the covenant God put in place long before you were conceived.

To put it simply…God treats seeking Him as an act of obedience. God will honor that obedience by being present in your time of trouble.

If you just listen to His instruction, your obedience will have you walking directly into your promised destiny. Walking in victory instead of defeat.

It’s all in your obedience.

And that’s the point of it all. You can never obey God too much.

Every instruction is worth your full obedience. No matter the size.

God is looking to release blessings to those who will take is every instruction and put them into action. Those that will seek Him more than anything else they long for.

God just wants you to experience the fullness of His love towards you. Obedience sets the atmosphere for it.

Lets pray…

“Father, I honor your every word with my obedience. I’m not obedient for the blessings, I’m obedient to experience the fullness of your love. I simply want more of you God. Give me a heart that thirsts for your will and faith to accept your ways. I pray these things in Jesus name, Amen.”
Men's Devotional Group Launch!

Thank you all for you support in launching this group. Looks like the best days are Sunday or Monday.

I'll be sending out an email tomorrow confirming which day we will have our first group. I can't wait to go deeper with you!

In case you haven't heard what it is about here's a refresher:
The Men's Devotional Group is a way to go deeper with the group of men who are a part of this devotional.

Every week we will meet virtually over video chat or audio teleconference for 30 - 45 minutes. In these meetings we will do the following:
  • Pick one devotional from the week to discuss
  • Discuss how it impacted us
  • Provide any major takeaways
  • Allow time to pray about any issues
If you've ever attended a bible study or life group, this will be setup very similar.

So if you want to go deeper and connect with fellow men on this devotional just click the link below and let me know what format works the best for you:

Look forward to going deeper in Christ with you soon!
