Subject: Look again

1 Kings 18:43-44 - Look Again

Then he said to his servant, “Go and look out toward the sea.” The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah and said, “I didn’t see anything.” Seven times Elijah told him to go and look. Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.”

It had been 3 years without rain.

Elijah ordered his servant to look outside and told him to keep looking until he saw a cloud.

In the previous scriptures Elijah had prayed fervently for God to release rain from heaven. His confidence in his prayer showed by how he did not accept his servant's report.

Elijah had so much faith in God hearing and answering his prayer that nothing in the physical realm could convince him his prayer would not come to pass.

When is the last time you had that much confidence in God hearing and answering your prayer? Sadly, some may say never.

There are times where we expect our situation to look a certain way immediately. When it does not we tend to right it off as if it won’t come to pass.

These are the times you need to activate your faith and look at our situation again.

I believe when we do this two things will happen. One, God will eventually bring it to pass. Two, God will change the way we are looking at your situation.

In both cases your prayers will be answered.

Today, don’t easily forsake what you are hoping in God for when it doesn’t look right instantly.

Have faith it will come to pass and look again.

Lets pray...

“Father thank you for hearing every one of our prayers. You are truly an awesome God. As we pray to you, help us to come before your throne bold with high expectation of our prayers being answered. As you answer every one of our prayers, let us not box your answer in to our interpretation. Let us not limit what you can do by how we think you will do it. Today we pray all things in your name and expect them to manifest. In Jesus name, Amen”
