Subject: Just a dummy

Daily encouragement for men of faith
"But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”

~ 1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV
Without God I am nothing.

The longer you live the more you realize how much you DON'T have control over.

The accomplishments and achievements you have amassed were nothing short of God's grace and mercy.

There are so many attacks you endure daily that God shields you from. His hedge of protection keeps safe and secure while all hell is trying to break loose.

There is nothing you have done or will do that God had not made possible himself.

You and I are both mere dummies. Dummies made from dirt to eventually return to dirt. Anything we try to do on our own will ultimately result in self destruction.

But knowing God changes things a bit.

Webster’s defines a dummy as..."a copy of a finished object that is used during practice or training"

Never have I been more honored to bear such a label. A copy of Christ’s completed work that is used in training on earth to expand the kingdom.

It takes humility to stay “dumb” to the world and all it’s illusions.

Because, the dumber you become to them, the more you become in Him.

Lets pray…

“Lord I surrender any level of intelligence I have obtained in the world that has led me to believe I have achieved anything without you. You are the creator of all things and there is no good thing that happens in my life without you. Forgive me for any credit I have taken for any good thing in my life today. Lord thank you for knowing it all so I don't have to. In Jesus name I pray, Amen."
