Galatians 6:9 - It's All Coming Back Pt. 2 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:9 NLT)
by Chris
For some sowing is the easy part.
It’s the reaping that they struggle with. The enduring until the seed sown has had ample time to grow and produce fruit.
A lot of people simply give up.
Lets think about this...what’s the best thing that could happen to a seed sown in good ground?
Rain.
Once the seed is sown it immediately needs rain to begin to fertilize and allow it to start establishing roots to grow.
In fact, without rain you would call it a “drought season” in which all that has been planted is at risk of withering away and dying.
The same applies to your Christian walk. When you sow, you should expect rain. You should expect trials to come your way because you know it’s necessary for your seed.
Friend, from now on look at every trial as necessary rain for the seed you have sown. Learn to expect and find joy in your troubles.
This is how God intended for us to go through our trials. It isn’t the sunny days that grow your faith, produce character, and generate a great harvest....it’s the rain.
So rejoice in your trials. Dance in the rain. It is God confirming that what you have sown is ready to grow and produce fruit.
Reaping requires faith, patience and perseverance. It’s never easy but it’s always worth it.
Lets pray...
“Father...don’t take your rain away. I will rejoice in my trials because I know the outcome. No seed sown has ever grown without rain. I now anticipate the trials of this world to swarm upon me as I continue to sow into others. With a smile on my face, I will endure my rainy seasons until my harvest is ready. Thank you Lord for rain! Amen”
