Matthew 25:27 - Investing “Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.” (Matthew 25:27 NIV)

Investing isn’t a just for the wealthy, it is biblical.
In case you aren’t familiar with the parable of the talents here’s a brief synopsis:
- Master entrusts servants with talents accordingly
- Master leaves for a time
- Master returns
Upon arrival he finds this of the 3 servants he left his talents with.
Servant 1 - doubled his talents Servant 2 - doubled his talents Servant 3 - Did nothing
The master gave even more to the two that multiplied their talents, while cursing the one that did nothing. This principle applies both to your money and your life.
What are you doing with the money God is providing you? How about your life, what are you doing with the salvation God has given you freely?
From a money standpoint - are you strictly a consumer? If you don’t know how to tell, sum up all the money you’ve received this month. How much did you spend? How much did you save? How much did you grow?
If you have not intentionally grown your money in any way…you are a consumer. God has called you to be an investor.
How about your spiritual walk? How many souls are you winning for Christ through the salvation He’s given you?
Again, don’t just consume the great works of God. He is expecting you to become an investor of men. Create more out of what He has given you.
Are you satisfied with what you have currently produced with your talents? If not, change it. Focus on growing instead of simply acquiring.
Every gift given to you is a potential seed to generate more. But you have to be willing to release it, work it, and believe it.
There is no risk when giving to God. The return is always greater.
That’s what I call a real investment.
Lets pray…
“Father, teach me spiritual math. Show me how to multiply, by faith, all that you provide for me. Let me not just consume what I need, but focus on growing what you have given me in order to return more to you. Help me to be a better steward over my money, time, and relationships. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.”
